Transport Fever 3 Wiki

Transport Fever 3 Industries and Cargo

13 raw industries produce on their own; 19 more turn cargo into other cargo. Every ratio below is per production cycle, so a Steel Mill fed 6 Iron Ore and 6 Coal gives back 4 Sheet Metal and 3 Steel. Click a column heading to sort, or let the production planner do the multiplying for a whole chain.

All 32 industries

Raw industries show a range instead of a ratio, because their output depends on how many fields, shafts or plantations they have spread across. Serve them well and they add plots; build over those plots and output falls.

“Some” for the Quarry on dry maps means it appears there, but not everywhere a quarry could. Trace any row both ways in the chain finder.

All 36 cargo types

The game sorts cargo into 12 raw materials, 11 intermediate products, 3 booster products and 10 end products. Two cross over: Fish and Meat go straight to shops as well as into the Canning Factory.

Specialization decides your wagons and warehouses

Every cargo belongs to one of four groups: Liquid (5 types), Bulk (9), Flatbed (6) and Goods (16). Universal vehicles and warehouses take anything; specialized ones take one group but load and unload faster. Freight wagons, trucks and cargo ships refit themselves at stations, so one truck can carry logs out and planks back on the same line.

Universal warehouse

  • Stores a mix of every cargo type in one building
  • Cheaper to build
  • Delivery timers keep running while cargo waits
  • Slower to load and unload

Specialized warehouse

  • One cargo type per module; crude oil and fuel need two modules even though both are liquid
  • Freezes the delivery timer of stored cargo
  • Faster loading and unloading

Neither kind needs a road: a warehouse works as soon as it sits inside a station's catchment. The frozen timer matters because towns rate you on on-time delivery. Late cargo still pays in full, but the delivery rating drops and town growth slows. A specialized warehouse between a distant mine and the town that needs its output turns a late chain into an on-time one.
