Transport Fever 3 on Mac
It runs natively on Apple Silicon Macs, but the bar is high: the minimum is an M2 Pro with 16 GB of memory on macOS Sequoia 15.7 or later, and the recommended machine is an M4 Pro with 24 GB. Intel-based Macs are not supported at all.

Minimum
- Apple M2 Pro (as in the 14-inch MacBook Pro of that generation)
- 16 GB unified memory
- macOS Sequoia 15.7 or later
- 90 GB free on the internal SSD
Recommended
- Apple M4 Pro (as in the M4 Pro Mac mini)
- 24 GB unified memory
- macOS Sequoia 15.7 or later
- 90 GB free on the internal SSD
What about a base M1, M2, M3 or M4?
The published minimum is a Pro-tier chip, and the plain M-series chips are not on the list, so treat them as untested rather than a safe bet. Check the refund terms of your store before buying for one.
Intel Macs
Not compatible. The developers list Intel-based Macs alongside old processors without AVX2 as systems the game will not run on. It was also not on GeForce NOW at launch, which rules out that cloud route for now.
Where to buy, and where files go
The Mac version is sold through Steam, the Epic Games Store and GOG, like the Windows one. On Steam, saves and settings live under Library/Application Support/Steam/userdata in your home folder; GOG keeps them under Library/Application Support/Transport Fever 3. The Library folder is hidden in Finder by default. Mods from the in-game hub go to their own managed folder, which you should leave alone; the mods page covers manual installs.
Mac players get the same map sizes as Windows, including the experimental ones, subject to memory; details on the map size page. The full PC and Linux tables are on the system requirements page.
